About The Railway Children

The Actors' Church is delighted to welcome back Tethered Wits as part of our Theatre In The Garden Season.

All aboard! Tethered Wits invites you to embark on a magical journey filled with fun, music, and heartwarming storytelling.

Meet the Waterbury children: Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis. They are ordinary children living in an ordinary house, until one day, a mysterious event changes their lives forever.

Forced to move to the countryside, they move near a bustling railway, where every passing locomotive brings new mysteries, friendships, and discoveries. Our young heroes find themselves in the midst of a true adventure. Bring your friends and family together, on a journey that celebrates the timeless power of love, community, and the unbreakable bonds of family.

Clever, Entertaining, Family friendly, Uncomfortable, Delightful

See it if A fun, child-friendly, hour-long production of The Railway Children. Lots for little ones to join in with.

Don’t see it if The venue's seating was rather hard - take a cushion! A few bits of the story were unexplained (like the ending), but overall it was lovely
