The Actors' Church is delighted to welcome back Tethered Wits as part of our Theatre In The Garden Season.

The Actors' Church, also known as St. Paul's Church, is a unique venue tucked away in the heart of Covent Garden, London. This distinctive highlighted feature erected in 1633, has since been a cultural hub bringing together people from all walks of arts, celebrating the history and affinity the industry maintains with this architectural marvel.

The charm of the venue emanates from its blend of traditional romantic architecture with modernized art décor, ignited by the stained glass windows, the enchanting courtyard garden, and the actors' memorials that adorn its interiors, manifesting a theatrical ambiance par excellence.

This hallowed premise has been a beacon for Britain's theatre community, hosting a myriad of vibrant performances, rehearsed readings, concerts, and lectures; thereby enriching London’s cultural milieu. Besides these, the Actors' Church also lends itself to being an ideal location for private hire events.

**How to get there?**

The Actors' Church is within easy reach, located in Bedford Street, Covent Garden with a 4-minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station. You can get there via London underground via the Piccadilly Line. If you're coming by bus, routes 9, 13, 15, 23, 139, or 153 run close by. The church can even be reached via river services that stop at Embankment Pier, which is around a 10-minute walk away.

The Actors' Church is the resting place for influential West End figures. There's also memorials to theatre personalities, including Charlie Chaplin, Noel Coward, Gracie Fields, Vivien Leigh, Ivor Novello, Barbara Windsor, Diana Rigg, and the *My Fair Lady* lyricist, Alan Jay Lerner.

The Actors' Church also boasts an in-hosue professional theatre company. Every summer, Iris Theatre present outdoor plays of Shakespeare classics.
